Our Unexpected Blessing…

I did take one pregnancy test about a week and a half after my miscarriage and it was still reading positive.  Sometimes it takes a while for all the hormones to flush out of your system after m/c and pg test do still come up positive. 

I was just going to wait until I went to my follow up visit to find out whether or not my levels was down, but I ended up at a message board where one of the threads got me thinking and I just wanted to know.  So I went to the store to pick up a few necessities and got a pregnancy test as well.  I was glad (but also a little sad) to see it come up negative.  Usually when I take tests I’m hoping for a positive, so this was a bit of a different experience.  I’m glad to know that my body seems to being continuing through the healing process okay.  At the same time though, it was an experience of some mixed feelings.  I’m sure those of you who’ve been through it understand.  If you haven’t been through it, I don’t know that I can explain it well enough in words. 

I will still see the dr just too make sure they have a record of everything being okay before I possibly TTC again.
