One thing I came across while reading Hypnobirthing stories is mother’s who visualized their due date. So, just for fun, I’m going to try it. According to ovulation, my due date is November 5th, however my dr is going with November 7th based on an early ultrasound. At my most recently ultrasound, baby measured right in between.
But, for the purpose of this exercise, I’m going to visualize the 7th. Why? Because I like 11/7/07 a little better than 11/5/07 AND because all my kids so far have been born on Tues, Wed, or Thurs. The 5th is a Monday and the 7th is a Wednesday. So, as cool as it would be do give birth on the 5th since it would be “right on” according to ovulation and would be the first time I’m NOT going past my due date (the only time I went before my due date was when I was induce due to PIH - other than that, all my kids have made me wait until AFTER my due date to see them), I’m somehow thinking the 7th would kind of “follow my pattern” in many ways. Plus, that would give baby two extra days to grow and develop and gain some extra weight before being born. So, though it’s a kind of tough choice, I think I’ll go with the 7th. I just don’t want the 6th. I wonder if I could visualize two dates? The 5th and the 7th….lol. Somehow I don’t think that would work quite as well.

[…] Okay, I talked about visualizing my due date in a previous post. AT the time I was a bit undecided at what due date I wanted. But now I’m going to go ahead and choose the 7th for a number of personal reasons. We’ll see what happens. My husbands cousin wanted to give birth on July 7th (she was due on the 12th or 13th) and every time I saw her we talked about it. Actually, I also added in that I had wanted her to deliver in the morning or around lunch time since we had a birthday party to attend that evening. Well guess what? The morning of July 7th she was at the hospital in in labor and her son was born at about 12:30 pm. So she got exactly what she wanted and we got to visit her before heading off to the birthday party. […]
