Well, we were supposed to move this weekend, but it looks like we’re going to hold off until after our trip. It’s actually kind of a relief. The reason we’re holding off is because we got a call from our realtor saying that the buyer’s realtor is a bit behind on things she’s supposed to get done in order to get this transaction taken care of. Soooo, now I’m thinking maybe our closing date will get pushed back. Our realtor did say that both she and her assistant are pushing the other realtors broker to get on top of things, and there is still a chance that we could close by the end of Sept, but she just wanted to give me a heads up on what was going on.
So….I think we’ll put off paying for movers and paying for storage until we have a better idea of what’s going on. After the trip we should have a much better idea of where things stand and be able to plan from there.
I did want to just get this move done, but truthfully I’ve been stressing a little about paying for movers and paying for storage and stuff, so by waiting, we give ourselves a little more time AND give ourselves less time in storage.
Keep your fingers crossed for us that this realtor gets her act together and we get this taken care of by end of Sept.
