So I don’t know if I’ll ever be ready to start buying stuff for this baby, BUT I am making something. I’m doing some very basic crocheting and am making a little blanket. Of course, I’m using regular yarn, nothing soft and fancy, so I don’t think I’ll actually wrap the baby in this blanket, but just lay it over him or her when he or she is sleeping. The colors are neutral, though I was tempted to buy more pastelly blue/pink colors. The yarn I’m using is a multi-colored yarn…sort of a bunch of earth tones. It’s pretty cool. Maybe later, I’ll go to the craft store and try making something with fancier, softer yarn.
When I finish the blanket, I’ll probably post a picture of it. It’s certainly better than my first few attempts at crocheting something. My sister thought it was funny that I was crocheting. She said that no one does that any more.
