Excited - Got my Moby Wrap

WooHoo! If you’ve been following this blog you know that I’m a bit hesitant this time around to buy stuff for baby. With my loss I had already started buying things and after the pregnancy ended, I had a hard time looking at the things I bought. The few outfits I bought were neutral colored, but I still don’t know that I can bring myself to ever use those. So this time, I just didn’t feel like buying anything. I don’t know that I can go shopping for all the things I probably should shop for without feeling like I’m going to jinx something. So my plan all along has been to give my MIL money and have her take care of it.

However, the Moby Wrap was one thing that I wanted that I don’t think anyone in my family is really going to understand. They won’t get why it’s important to me - I want to be a baby wearer, but that’s not a popular “philosophy” among most relatives. So it was the one thing that I wanted to look into myself and buy when I was ready.

Well, when I first looked into it, I thought the only place I could check it out here was all the way in town to a place I rarely go. I didn’t even know how to get there. But today I decided to take a look at the Moby website again and look up retailers in my area. There was one less than 15 minutes away! I decided to get in the car and go check it out tonight. It just so happened that they had a color I liked and I even got 10% off (not sure why, but I wasn’t going to dispute it). I ended up spending less than I thought I would and I’m really happy I picked it up!

The other thing I’ve heard many moms talk about is the Britax brand of carseats. I have 4 children and I’ve never heard of Britax. However I did recently see one at a local store and I loved it. The material was soooo soft and the carseat had these little velcro patches to help hold the straps out of the way while you put baby in. That’s such a neat feature! I know that’s one of the things I dislike about trying to get my son in a carseat. He always ends up sitting on the straps and buckles then we have to try to pull them out from under him. When you’re newborn is sleeping, you want to disturb them as little as possible, so knowing the straps would be out of the way is a plus.

Anyway, I’ve heard people talk about the companion model and the marathon model, but then I saw the Boulevard Park Avenue model online and that looks quite comfy too.

I don’t know if we’ll actually get that particular brand, but I’m thinking about it. Maybe we’ll get one carseat for my car and one for my husband’s vehicle, so I’m sure we could have one of those be a Britax right?

We’ll see. I’m not really going to be thinking of baby supplies any time soon with our move, vacation, and closing on our house right around the corner. I’m sure after that, when I have just about one month to go, I’ll start thinking about it more. Until then, I’m happy I have my Moby Wrap!
