Sooooo, it’s finally here. The 3rd trimester! Two-thirds DONE, just one more to go. I can’t believe it! It’s still going so fast.
What’s been happening recently? Well, I’m noticing swelling in my hands and feet. I had LOTS of Braxton-Hicks contractions over the weekend, on both days, which is kind of unusual. I’ve been feeling a lot more BIG movements. It’s much harder not to waddle. Even a little bending at the waist makes my back just ache and ache. Given a chance to nap, I take it without a second thought. I feel like I could fall asleep at 8:00 each night if I didn’t still have things to do.
I had an appt today and did my sugar test as well as some other labs. My dr says they’ll call if anything unusual shows up in the results. My dr did comment on my jump in weight at my last two visits but he said that overall gain is still fine. They also gave me a paper about pre-term labor, fetal movement, and PIH. Now I feel better calling or getting checked out for any of those things because I have instructions to do so. In fact, for the pre-term labor one, it says if you’ve had short labors before - Call Sooner, don’t wait. So if I experience contractions like I had over the weekend again, I’ll probably just go get checked out for my own peace of mind. Same with the baby movements…it says that I should call if I sense ANY change in the type of character of baby’s movements and to report ANY abnormalities in movement immediately. So now I don’t feel so much like I’ll be calling for “nothing” - even if it does turn out to be “nothing” I won’t feel bad for getting checked out because now I have clear instructions, in black and white, to do so. 
My next appointment is in 4 weeks (right before we go on our family vacation) and I’ll be 31 weeks at that time! I’ll be in single-digit week countdown mode - so amazing!
So - there’s been a lot going on in the pregnancy area, plus a lot going on in life in general, so time is really passing quite quickly. Next time I’ll let you know the latest in home life which is all part of the time flying by so quickly.
