A while back I talked about how my SIL was hoping for a positive pregnancy test (see this post) - well, she called this morning and said that she took a test today. She used the Clear Blue Digital and it said “Pregnant.” I’m so happy for them! I am also a little sad because my baby and hers would have been within two months of each other. She also said that the only thing about it was that she would be going through it by herself. She had been hoping for a partner and thought she had one when we found out about my pregnancy.
However, after thinking about it for a little while, I realized that we could still have babies close in age. It’s just that she would give birth about 3 months before me instead of 2 months after. It’s a possibility. Actually, we could try for a little closer, but we’re all planning on a trip for early next Sept, so I’ll have to make sure that my due date is far enough after that that I could still fly at that time should I become pregnant again. There’s just no way for me to conceive early enough to give birth before the trip, so we’ll have to wait. We’ll see what happens.
For now, I’m glad my SIL finally got her positive test! It’s exciting and, though I wish I could be going through it with her a little more closely, maybe this way, I can plan to be with her when she delivers. She lives in Chicago though, so I’d need to fly up there. Maybe…
