Wow! Time is moving sooo fast! Today I am 9 weeks and 5 days! In a few days I’ll hit double digits, 10 weeks! It’s cool, but I still don’t just assume that I’ll get there even though it’s just a few days away. One day at a time.
I do have an u/s scheduled for Friday the 13th. I’m a little excited about it and just hope it goes well. My husband should be able to join me so that will be cool. Also, since last time went well, this time is a little less scary. I’m a little more optimistic, but still don’t want to get too far ahead of myself.
BUT - that being said, wow - 9 1/2 weeks already! At this time last pregnancy I already knew it wasn’t going to work out. That had already been confirmed by ultrasound at 9 weeks, but this time, so far, all is well. It’s nice. I’m enjoying every day and the days seem to be going by so quickly. Things have been quite hectic here, so I haven’t been around much on this blog, but hopefully I can pick back up to my regular schedule.
Tomorrow is Easter and we colored eggs with the kids tonight. A couple of my kids and my niece and nephew (two of my kids slept through it) did a lot of egg coloring. We boiled 48 eggs and they wanted more. I think that was already too much because we don’t want to boil much more than we can eat, so we stopped at 48. DH has a big family and if we all eat at least 1 egg sandwich, we should make a pretty good dent in the supply tomorrow. I’m glad the kids got to color eggs. My kids even gathered up the plastic eggs we have around the house and hid them from each other today. Tomorrow we’ll do a bigger egg hunt with cousins and young aunties and uncle (DH’s family).
Anyway - I’m doing well. Last week was nauseous, this week not so much, but I am battling a cold which is sucking a lot of my energy. I did get a nice nap in today so that was cool. I hope to get a few extra winks tomorrow too, but we’ll see what happens. Then it’s Monday and I’ll be 10 weeks and it’s back to the “real world” with the kids in school and DH back to work after getting the whole week off due to his sister’s loss. It’s been nice having him home. I’m not really looking forward to “business as usual,” but it has to come some time and it’ll be here sooner rather than later. Sooooo….I’ll enjoy tomorrow, then it’s back to the grind…but then again, I’ll also be one more week pregnant on that day, so it’s not all bad.
See, when I don’t come by often, my post gets really long. I’ll have to make it a point to get back here at least every 2 days or so.
